The theory was published by the University of Innsbruck, Austria, which conducted a study on people who prefer bitter tastes in foods and beverages, such as gin or tonic water.
"Those who choose bitter tastes sometimes show malice," the final report said.
This study asked questions related to emotional stamina, Machiavellianism, aggressiveness, and the tendency to display sadistic traits.
In the end, people who showed liking for bitter foods like dark chocolate, coffee or tonic water, tended to have such psychic tendencies.
