The year 2020 has produced many touching photos and powerful messages.
Among the many photos, a shot of two penguins has been selected as the winner of Ocean Photograph Awards in Oceanographic magazine.

Photo taken in Australia by Tobias Baumgaertner.
St. Kilda Pier in Melbourne has a colony of about 1,400 "fairy" penguins, the smallest penguin species with an average height of only 33 cm and the whole colony is monitored by volunteers.
"A volunteer approached me and told me that the white penguin was an elderly lady who had lost her partner and apparently the penguin next to her had also lost his partner," Baumgaertner wrote on Instagram.
He added:
"Since then, widow penguins meet regularly, comforting each other and staying together for hours in the city lights."
The photographer spent three evenings with the penguin colony, before being able to take this picture.
"With the inability to not use light and the little penguins that are constantly moving, it has been very difficult to take a picture," he said.
