Former Socialist Party MP Marco Bello has passed away at the age of 59, after complications caused by infection with Covid-19.

Bello was hospitalized in Turkey for 23 days where he was receiving more specialized treatment.

Marko Bello was a member of the SP for 3 terms, from 2001-2013 and served as Minister of European Integration and Minister of State for Government Coordination. In the period 1997-2000, Marko Bello served as Ambassador of Albania to Romania and then Deputy Minister of Defense.
