Ellen Page - formerly known as an actress - declared that she is trans and his name is Elliot.
"I am just happy to be writing this. That I am here. "I have reached this moment in my life," Elliot wrote. "I feel extremely grateful for the incredible people who have supported me during this journey. "I can not describe how wonderful it is to finally love myself," he wrote on Instagram.
Page admitted he was afraid to go out as a trans considering hatred, ridicule and violence against people like him.
"I like being trans. I like being queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace what I am, the more I dream and the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. ”
Among other things, Elliot asked for patience, because the journey is real, but delicate and fragile. At the end of the letter, he wrote:
"To all trans people facing bullying, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better."
In February 2014, Elliot (then Ellen Page) declared himself gay. Since 2018 he is married to Canadian choreographer Emma Portner.
