With over 1 billion active users, Instagram is without a doubt one of the most popular apps worldwide.

Recently, Instagram has announced a series of updates it will make to the inbox (Direct Message) or other aspects of the app.

What Instagram did not tell us is a small change, which no one is liking.

Previously, to post a photo or video, you would tap the '+' icon in the center of the bar, located at the bottom of the screen.

This icon, in the new update, has been replaced with the camera icon, which, if clicked leads you to post to Story.

Irritated users have written on Twitter, to discuss the change.

One user said:

"The new look of Instagram. Awesome design. I wanted to post and I could not choose what to click. "

Someone else added:

“Hey Instagram! Replacing the "in post" button with the camera icon is a slander, especially since it leads directly to Story (which I never do). Give me back the "in post" button. "

"What does this mean?" Isn't that the whole point of Insta posting pictures? ”

"Do you have to go through several menus / pages just to post a picture?"

Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, revealed that Instagram is testing several different versions of its homescreen.
