Dua Lipa was the inspiration for dozens of baby names for girls in England and Wales. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) (via BBC), babies named Dua doubled in 2019 compared to 2017, when Dua gained fame in the UK.

Another popular name recently is Kylo, ??referring to the famous Star Wars character, Kylo Ren, who is played by Adam Driver.

ONS stated that in 2019, 126 babies were named Dua, while in 2017, after the publication of "Be The One", babies named Dua reached the number 63.

The name Dua, some time ago, was an unusual name in Britain, unlike the Middle Eastern countries where it is most popular (from Arabic, Dua means "prayer"). While in  interviews , Dua has stated that her name is Albanian and has the meaning "love" (as a verb not as a name).
