Finding Freedom, a book by reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, claims the couple barely spoke at Westminster Abbey Church in March, although they had not seen each other since January, and said the relationship had cooled as a result of the decision. Harry and Meghan to leave the royal family.

The book will be published in August, while Prince Harry and his wife have said they have not been interviewed and have made no contribution to its realization.

The authors describe in the book a growing culture of resentment between the Sussex couple and other family members. In some excerpts from the book, it is said that they felt that their complaints were not taken seriously and believed that people close to the kingdom were leaking stories to the media. "There was only a small group of people inside the Palace who were really trusted," the authors claim.

The book also claims that Harry felt "unprotected" by the family and was devalued within the walls of the kingdom because he was "too sensitive and open". Omid Scobie said it was difficult for Meghan, as a mixed-race American, to join the royal family.

Following the publication of several excerpts from the book, a statement on behalf of Harry and Meghan said:

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed or contributed. This book is based on the authors' experiences as members of the royal press corps and their independent reporting."
