We grew up with the idea of the blue prince and the lives of princesses in the royal palace. Is it too late to tell you that we have been raised with lies? Many of the tales we have been served have been embellished to make them suitable for children. However some of them will shock you how NOT for children they are.

Cinderella
In the original Brothers Grimm tale, Cinderella's older sister cuts off her toes in order to make her shoes. Also Cinderella did not have a fairy to help her, but animals and specifically birds, not rats.

The Little Mermaid
In Hans Christian Andersen's original tale, at every step Ariel felt a strong slaughter pierce her legs. The animated film also draws attention to the fact that if Ariel fails to make the prince fall in love, she will die. When Ariel sees that she has difficulty achieving her goal, the sisters suggest she kill the prince in order to save herself, but she refuses and turns to sea foam.

Pinocchio
If Pinocchio looks troubled in the animated film, then the written version will surprise you. He is even more problematic. Pinocchio kills Bulkin Xhimini, who appears in the animated film as his conscience. Although Xhepeto insists that Pinocchio go to school, he sells the school books for a ticket to a puppet theater. Let?s not forget that the giant whale in the original version is actually a shark.

sleeping Beauty
We are telling you now that this is the tale that has become the most transformed of all. Initially the sleeping beauty and the prince were not known and he simply enters the castle as no one responds. After seeing the Sleeping Beauty unconscious, he abuses her. The truth is that she is not awakened by the kiss of true love, but by her child (the fruit of abuse) who was biting her finger. However, she ends up marrying the prince after falling in love. (Stockholm Syndrome?) What we haven't mentioned so far is that the prince had another wife, who tries very hard to hurt the couple, but fails. The end says they lived happily ever after, but judge for yourself.

Rapunzel
In the original version of the Brothers Grimm, the prince leaves Rapunzel unconscious at the first meeting. The stepmother then cuts her hair and lets him wander in the woods alone. When the prince reappears to meet Rapunzel, the stepmother shows her cut hair and tells him that he will never see her again. The prince jumps out of the window and is blinded by the thorns around the tower. Rapunzel gives birth to twins and joins the prince, whom she heals with her tears.
