Tenor Andrea Bocelli stated for the first time that he was infected with coronavirus. According to ANSA - which serves as a cooperative form for major publishers of Italian newspapers - Bocelli told reporters at Pisa Hospital that he experienced mild symptoms, fever and was virtually asymptomatic.

Speaking about donating blood plasma to help fight Covid-19, Bocelli said both the woman and the children were infected with coronavirus, but are now well.

His wife, Veronica Berti, also donated the plasma for study. Tenori said he had discovered the fact that he was infected with Covid-19 after a test on March 10. He added that he hopes the plasma will help find a cure for the virus.

In April, Bocelli, accompanied only by an organist, performed at the magnificent Duomo Cathedral in Milan, on the occasion of Easter.

"On the day we celebrate the belief that life triumphs, I am honored and happy to respond with 'Yes' to the invitation of the city and the Duomo of Milan. I believe in the power of prayer together. I believe in Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that all people - whether they are believers or not - need in these moments. Thanks to live broadcast music, gathering millions of hands clasped together around the world, we will embrace the wounded heart of the Earth, ?he said.

Bocelli performed "Panis Angelicus", "Ave Maria", "Sancta Maria", "Domine Deus" to finish with "Amazing Grace", during which the empty streets of Paris, London and New York were presented.

The performance was watched live by millions of people, ranked # 1 on Trending on YouTube and currently has more than 40 million clicks.
