Maria Singh, known as Princess Maria Petrovna Galitzine, passed away at the age of 31 as a result of a cardiac aneurysm, a few days before celebrating her 32nd birthday.
Maria was the daughter of Prince Piotr Galitzine and Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine. The news of her death was also confirmed by a spokesman for Emperor Karl League (the organization dedicated to Emperor Karl I, who reigned in Austria-Hungary in 1916-1918).
Maria was born in Luxembourg and grew up in Moscow where she studied at the German School. After graduating, he moved to Belgium to continue his studies at the College of Art and Design before moving to Chicago and then to Houston.
She married Rishi Roop Singh, a chef from Houston of Indian descent. Maria and Rishi, married in 2017, have a 2-year-old son, Maxim.
Maria's royal status came from both parents. The father was a Russian aristocrat, while the mother was the daughter of the Archduke Rudolf of Austria, the son of Emperor Charles I, which made him the next of kin of the Habsburg dynasty.
