The wife of the late Kobe Bryant, Vanessa , dedicated a few words to her daughter, Gianna, on the day her birthday would be 14.

Gianna, who was known by friends and relatives as Gigi, died along with her father and seven other people in a helicopter crash in California. On Instagram, Vannesa wrote:

"Happy 14th birthday my sweet little girl, Gianna. Mom loves you so much more than I can tell. You are part of my soul forever. I miss you every day. I wish I woke up and you were here with me. I miss your smile and your hugs. I miss everything yours, Gigi. I love you so much."

Based on the famous nickname of Kobe Bryant - Black Mamba - Gigi was known as Mambacita, a pet name adapted in Spanish. Gigi was the one who brought Kobe back into basketball, as he saw his daughter?s talent.
