Journalist and singer Violeta Rexhepagiqi has passed away. Media in Kosovo, such as Kosovarja and Gazeta Express, suggest that according to police sources, Violeta, 45, was found dead in her apartment. To this day, the causes of death are unknown.

Violeta Rexhepagiqi started her career in music at an early age. She performed more than 40 children's songs as well as engaged to make the voices of the characters in radio dramas.

She became known to the public through the group Vivien, formed in 1984 in Prishtina, where she performed together with her brother, Armend. Some of the most popular songs were "Romance", "The noise of the old winds", "I do not know, tell me", etc., in which Violeta stood out for her avant-garde style.

In addition to music, Violeta also engaged in the field of journalism. During the war in Kosovo, she reported for News Network, WTN and Sky News. After the war, he engaged in the Public Radio-Television of Kosovo in the realization of documentary shows and since 2010 he wrote lyrics and composed.
