A list of all Albanians who have been to Sanremo

In Sanremo, the most important Italian festival, there were enough Albanians to compile a list; have participated as singers, as members of the orchestra or invited specifically for a performance.

In this year's edition, Alketa Vejsiu will step into the Sanremo scene as none of the aforementioned roles. She will be one of the moderators selected.

The list is sorted from oldest to newest attendance.

Anna Oxa

Anna Oxa, singer and moderator with an Albanian father and Italian mother, has attended the Sanremo 14 times full time; For the first time in 1978 and last time in 2011. She won the first prize in 1989 with the song "Ti lascero," a collaboration with Fausto Leali, and in 1999 with "Senza pieta." In 2006, Anna brought on stage an Albanian polyphonic band to accompany her during the late rendition of "Processo a me stessa."

Olen Cesari

In 2000, Olen Cesari went to the Sanremo stage to accompany the violinist Lucio Dalla, who was invited to sing "4 Marzo 1943."

Elsa Lila

In 2003, Elsa Lila participated in the Young Artists category for the first time in Sanremo. Her song "Valeria" ranked eighth in this category.

The singer returned in 2007 with "Il senso della vita" and was again ranked eighth in the Young Artists category.

Anji Nini

Violinist Enxhi Nini was part of the Sanremo Orchestra in 2014.

Ermal Meta

Ermal Meta, along with Fabrizio Moro, won the 2018 Sanremo with "Non mi avete fatto niente." They represented Italy at Eurovision and placed fifth.
