The MTV European Music Awards awards ceremony, held yesterday night in Seville, Spain, was a true celebration of all of the most popular music names, especially female artists, who dominated performances and awards. As rarely as ever, five artists of Albanian origin were present at MTV EMA.
Dua Lipa opened the evening with an electrifying performance of the newest song "Don't start now".

Ava Max also went on stage to sing "Torn" and "Sweet but Psycho".
Ava, nominated for Best New Artist and Best Push, managed to snatch the latter's trophy.
Although not physically present, Bebe Rexha was one of the contenders for the Best Collaboration Award for the song "Call You Mine" in collaboration with The Chainsmokers, but failed to win. The best collaboration was named "Con Altura" - Rosalia, J Balvin ft. El Guincho.

Loredana and Ilira Gashi were nominated for the Best Swiss Act Award, given to the country's most renowned artists. The winner was Loredana, who in red carpet stayed true to her style.
In terms of awards, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift won two awards each, triumphing in the most important categories of the evening, namely for Best Song and Best Video. Billie was also named Best Young Artist, while Taylor was named Best American Artist.
Other winners were Halsey, Ava Max, Rosalia, Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes.
There was a surprise for the Arianators, as Ariana Grande was the most nominated singer, but did not win any awards.
