Zac Posen closes the fashion house: The most memorable designer dresses

Yesterday, Zac Posen announced he would close the clothing brand that bears his name after months of negotiations with the co-owner. Posen is a well-known name in New York and is held as king of the red carpet. Natalie Portman donned one of Posen's creations at the 2002 Star Wars premiere and forgave the designer of international fame.

During those 17 years, Posen served as a couturier for Katie Holmes, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Iman and Oprah Winfrey. These women reached out to Posen because he created dresses that emphasized the body where needed and covered other parts with fruity, tails and skirts. The corsets were his specialty, but Posen skillfully made out-of-date or sexy dresses.

For this year's Met Gala, he collaborated with GE and used new technology to create roses for Deepika Padukone's dress and to make a three-dimensional flower for Jourdan Dunn. These are Zac Posen's 19 best creations and we are confident they will be remembered for a long time.
