Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are both fans of temporary fasting, popularly known as intermittent fasting, during which food is allowed only in a 6.8 or 12 hour time window. Beyond this predetermined schedule, only juices with almost no calories are consumed.
Actresses on "The Morning Show," which launches on Nov. 1 on Apple Tv Plus, told the Radio Times they give up their meals for 16 hours a day, which means they eat along an 8-hour window.
"I do a partial fast so I don't have breakfast," Aniston said. "I noticed quite a difference from not eating for 16 hours."
Some proponents of this diet recommend consuming water, tea and dairy-free coffee for 16 hours, but Aniston and Witherspoon said they prefer to drink green juice and coffee in the morning.

"Today, I woke up and drank celery juice," Aniston said. "Then I started making coffee, but I didn't drink it early."
The actress feeds dogs, meditates and exercises before drinking coffee.
Witherspoon added: "Drink some green juice and a morning coffee."
Her routine starts a little earlier than Aniston's because her 7-year-old son wakes her up at 5:30 or 6:00.
?I find it very difficult to practice before 7:30. Usually around this time it starts physical activity, ?she said. "I practice six days a week."
Although Aniston works out five days a week, Witherspoon often asks for her wellness tips because "We know so much about health and fitness."
Temporary fasting has health benefits
Temporary fasting has become more popular than ever in recent years, and some studies have found that it has health benefits such as lower blood pressure and longer lifespan.
Many people use it to lose weight and experts agree that this is because they consume fewer calories during the day because they have less time to eat.
