Sabrina Aisenberg, five months old, was sleeping on her bed. When her mother Marlene got up to check on her, as she did every morning, she didn't find him there. "I need the police," she said, in total panic during a 911 call at 6:42. "They kidnapped me." The little parents realized that the garage door was cleverly opened and Sabrina was never found.

In 1967, Australian Prime Minister Harold Hold was swimming with friends at Cheviot Beach. The beach was known for strong currents and it was there that the 59-year-old disappeared without a trace. Authorities organized countless rescue operations, but the body was never found. Some conspiracy theories suggest that the prime minister faked his death, was killed by the CIA, or boarded a Chinese submarine to blow up there.

One of the most famous cases is the disappearance of the Roanoke colony. The first English invaders settled on Roanoke Island and there was born the first English child on the continent, Virginia Dare. What happened to Virginia and the rest of the village remained a mystery because by 1950, the city had been abandoned and residents had disappeared. There were only two records. The word "Croatoan" on the door guarding the fort and "Cro" engraved on a tree.

In 1982, 12-year-old Johnny Gosch left home at dawn to deliver newspapers to neighbors, as he did every day. A neighbor reported seeing the boy talk to a man that morning but did not hear what they were saying. Johnny's parents later received calls from neighbors who told him he had not delivered the papers that morning. Newspapers were found abandoned near the house. Panicked, the parents phoned the police but were forced to wait three days, as is the norm. Johnny was never found. However, in 1984 Eugene Martin, another newspaper guy, disappeared under the same circumstances.

Years later, Gosch's mother said they had left photos of tied up children and rags in their mouths on the doorstep. She also said that Johnny returned home one night accompanied by a man she did not know.

In 2011, 24-year-old Rebecca Coriam was filmed using the camera of a Disney Wonder ship while working on the phone. Her mother was upset after not talking to her 12-hour-old daughter. On March 22, they tell her that Rebecca has lost. No one had seen her since filming, but according to an investigation by The Guardian, one of her former colleagues said, "Disney knows very well what happened to Rebecca."

Lars Mittang, a German, was traveling to Bulgaria, where he lost. He was behaving strangely the last few days he was seen alive. The day he was due to fly home, he was filmed by airport cameras as he ran away. He crossed a fence and disappeared into the woods.

Asha Degree lost nearly 20 years ago. She was only 9 when she reportedly left her parents' home alone with a purse she had packed herself the night before. It was raining heavily and one driver saw him walking alone on the side of the road. He tried to talk to her and take her home, but she ran fast toward the forest. Police found candy letters in a cabin in the woods and a year later, found the bag, still packaged. However, no sign of the girl. It is not yet known what happened. Police investigated whether she was abused at home, but found no evidence.

21-year-old Maura Murray lost control of the vehicle and crashed on a February 2004 day. Another driver offered to help, but she said no, called the insurance company and was left alone. The driver, after he left, phoned police anyway. When the patrol arrived, the car was locked and Maura was nowhere in sight. There was no footprint in the snow, the dogs did not smell it and the helicopter with heat sensors found nothing.

The girls were not found and police thought Danny, Ashley's father, had killed the woman and kidnapped the girls. However his body was also found buried. Before they burned, Danny and his wife had been shot in the head. Lauria's car was found near the house with keys inside and a $ 150 purse. The girls allegedly killed Ashley's parents and fled, but it is not yet known why they ran out of money.

10. Polaroid

In August 1989, a polaroid photo was found in a parking lot in Florida. It featured a girl and a boy, with hands and mouths bound, in a narrow, dark space. A white van had previously been parked in the area where the photo was found. Two families identified the persons in the photo: Tara Calico, 19, was missing while cycling. Michael Henley, 9, was missing in a camp with his father. Years later, Henley's body was found on the mountain where it was lost, and there is still no sign of Caico.
