For all the daytime sleep fans, there is good news! Brunching at lunch once or twice a week reduces the risk of heart disease. Scientists from the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland concluded that there is a link between daytime sleep and heart complications.
According to them, if you sleep 1 or 2 times a week for 5 minutes to 1 hour, you are 48% less likely to suffer from a sudden heart attack than those who do not sleep at all.
Although there are still discussions about this study, people should keep in mind that napping will not save them from heart disease and complications, but it is a good lifestyle that reduces their risk.
For now, take care of your nighttime sleep, diet and physical activity regimen.
