In early August, Digitalb interrupted the Klan television signal because negotiations on a contract renewal between the parties failed. An article published by the Gazeta Shqiptare - part of Top Media Group - states that contract renewal negotiations lasted a month, but failed after Frangaj sought nearly three times as much annual revenue. According to the same newspaper, Vjollca Hoxha declined because of Tv Klan's audience decline. After the signal was cut off, the Klan reportedly lost 200,000 viewers in just three days and shortly thereafter, Alexander Frangaj demanded that the Tv Klan be retransmitted, but Digitalb declined.
The sudden interruption of the signal caused chaos not only within the Klan offices, but of course to the people who have reacted harshly on social media. If we take a look at the comments on the internet, we will notice that most of them say that they have not been informed in time for the signal to stop. "We broke down a lot with the closure of the Digitalb Clan. Not all of us can afford to pay for every television package, ?writes someone in a photo of Ardit Jewry. ?This is when there is no law. Nowhere in the world do you hear these things happening in Albania, ?reads another comment.
Other people - the vast majority of immigrants who subscribe to Digitalb mostly for Albanian channels headed by the Klan and Top Channel - point out that "it is not right to pay for half service" as a result of " capricious of one or the other. "
"Wasn't it supposed to alert me that the Klan might be removed from Digitalb? Because when I did the subscription a few months ago, I paid for a service and certain television sets. Then I was not told that the Klan-Digitalb contract expires in August. Shouldn't I as a consumer know that the Klan could even be removed? And in case it was unforeseen, who cares? Take the capricious choice of yours without having to burden me as a subscriber and in my pocket to pay for half service, ?someone writes.
The contracts do not even renew, however, as stated in the comment above, the customer should have been informed. To put it simply: For nearly a year, people paying for Netflix know that Friends will be removed from the platform. No date is known yet, but they know that in the near future, "Friends" may pass to WarnerMedia, which operates through relevant divisions such as Home Box Office (HBO), Turner Broadcasting System and Warner Bros. So they've had enough time to decide whether or not Netflix is worth it without Friends.
As you can see in the comments below, people are much more than outraged by the lack of a common language among television giants.
