Actress Linda Hamilton is not afraid to discuss her sex life. Or the lack of her sex life would be the appropriate term.
In an interview with The New York Times, the 62-year-old actress of "The Terminator," talked about her departure from the screen and what made her return as Sarah Connor in the new Terminator series film, "Terminator: Dark Fate" ".
Hamilton, who divorced "Terminator" director James Cameron in 1999, also said he has not had sex for nearly two decades.
"I haven't had sex for at least 15 years," she told the newspaper. "One doesn't count days anymore because it just doesn't matter - or at least it doesn't matter to me. I have a romantic relationship with the world and with people. "
Hiding in a colorful New Orleans home with her two dogs, Turk and Noodle, Hamilton shows she has not been dealing with anything specific since she stopped acting in 2012.
?I woke up one day and said, 'Here I am, in my beautiful cottage. The kids are not here, the agents are not calling me. That can't be true, ?she told the NYT.
?I love being alone so much, it's incredible.
The decision to return to the Terminator series was not an easy one for the actress.
"I thought about it intensively and considered it for six weeks before deciding I would accept the role," Hamilton said. ?I wasn't sure if I wanted it. I didn't want to look like I was just doing it for the money. I live a quiet life, an ordinary life and I wasn't sure I wanted to give up all this for 15 minutes of fame. "
With Cameron as producer and Tim Miller as director, the film is described as the sequel to "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991) - the last film where Hamilton played the role of Sarah Connor. The film features Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of the T-800 robot sent to kill Sarah and her unborn son in the first 1984 production.
?I think you will be amazed at this film because it has come out tremendously. I was amazed when I saw her for the first time, ?Schwarzenegger said.
"Terminator: Dark Fate" hits US cinemas on November 1.
