Did Lady Gaga steal the 'Shallow'?

The famous song of the film "A Star is Born" - which won an Oscar, a Golden Globes, a Critics' Choice Award and
two Grammys - reportedly stolen. According to Page Six, the song performed by Lady Gaga in collaboration with Mark Ronson, Bradley Cooper, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt is stolen by a SoundCloud artist named Steve Ronsen.

The latter's song is called "Almost" and was released seven years ago. Such a claim is puzzling as the songs have no resemblance to either the lyrics or the music.

Ronsen bases the issue on a common passage (G, A and B for those with a music background).

Gaga's representatives responded by pointing out that GAB is very popular in music and dates back centuries. A source told Cosmopolitan that Lady Gaga is furious at such a claim and "intends to bring the matter to an end."

"Mr. Ronsen and his lawyer are trying to make quick money at the expense of a successful man. It's embarrassing and wrong. I commend Gaga for having the courage to respond on behalf of all the successful artists who find themselves in the face of such claims. Lady Gaga will fight, ?said Gaga's lawyer.

On the other hand, Ronsen's lawyer told Page Six they consulted with a musicologist - an expert in the study of music, not necessarily a musician - and came to such conclusions. "The Lady Gaga team has not yet provided us with a counter report from a musicologist, though we have requested it several times," he added.

But the other side claims the opposite. "We sent a report to many musicologists and they all found no commonality between the songs."
