Roberto De Niro has ended his 20-year marriage with Grace Hightower. According to People, sources close to the family say the couple live separated.

"Sometimes things do not work as we would like," they said.

The 75-year-old film star, Grace married in 1997 after the 10-year romance. They are parents of two children, a 20-year-old boy and daughter 6.

This is not the first time the pair is split. In 1999, De Niro called for the divorce and custody of the big boy, but it did not go very well and the couple arranged things. That divorce was never finalized.

In November 2004, the couple fled the wedding vows at a ceremony where many of Hollywood's stars, such as Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Ben Stiller, and others, were invited.
