Ylli Liman's life is divided into life before and after the pandemic. In an interview with journalist Berat Buzhala, the singer talked about the identity crisis he experienced during the pandemic and how this moment affected him afterwards.
"My life is life before the pandemic and after the pandemic. [I say this] because when the concerts, the profits, the filming and everything else stop, you find yourself faced with the fact that you say: Who the hell am I when I don't sing?" he said. "Who am I to my company at the table when I have no project to speak of."
Next, Ylli revealed that he faced a crisis that put his identity into question.
"It was a break. I know people have lost family members, lost businesses, but everyone has [their own problems]. And there was that moment when I say that 'the old Star is dead'. Something has died to make room for something new.”
The singer emphasized "everything I had thought, the whole worldview I had before, no longer existed."
