Vjosa Osmani, Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, delivered a powerful speech before voting on the motion to overthrow Albin Kurti's government and inspired people, not for the fact that he decided to keep Kurti in power, nor for the decision to oppose Kurti. to her party, the Democratic League of Kosovo, but for the very fact that it decided not to violate any of its principles and promises made to the electorate in the October 6 election, where Vjosa was a candidate for prime minister of Kosovo.
In an unstable socio-economic situation in a pandemic like the coronavirus, Vjosa and two other LDK members, the party with which Albin Kurti made a coalition for governing, were the only ones who opposed it.
In part of her speech, Vjosa said:
"This motion was delivered at a time when the world is suffering and Europe has made the motto of solidarity between the people. Today, we risk losing even that thread of solidarity we enjoyed before the pandemic, and this is unprecedented. This is the speech that I would not like to give, because in the moments I am talking about, Kosovo and the whole world is facing one of the greatest challenges in the history of mankind. In this sad moment, which we are making sadder with our political impatience, the dream of overpowering the other turns into a power struggle for power, even when power seeks servants, such as our robes [doctors], who fight for each be. When we try to fulfill our political ego, doctors are fighting for the lives of every person affected by the pandemic, but what are we doing? We have decided to leave them hopeless in their battle, dismissing the government when they most need it. ?
Before running for the post of Kosovo Prime Minister (it was the first time a woman was a candidate) Vjosa was not an unknown name in the field of politics. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Law in Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, then announced as the best student, continued her Master's degree at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, where she was awarded the "Sheth International Achievement Award", an award for the contribution of young people around the world. In addition to the profession of lecturer, for three terms, Osmani is a member of the LDK, where in the last two he was the most voted deputy in Kosovo.
Her speech yesterday in the Kosovo Assembly is being heavily commented on Twitter, where people praise her decision to write down promises in the October elections. During the campaign, Vjosa and her party stated that they would not make a coalition with the PAN (a coalition comprised of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Social Democratic Initiative).

But if defending every point of the LDK program that we have introduced as a contract with the citizens, if defending a refusal to cooperate with crime makes me a traitor, if I keep every word I have given to my constituents when some were afraid to go out and fight with them, if that makes me a traitor, then I will proudly wear this stamp of treason, ?she said in another part of the talk.
People on Twitter describe Vjosa as "the woman who is daring to challenge LDK men", as an example of "humanity and pride" and "the most reasonable voice in the Kosovo Parliament".
