Virgins have certainly been very shocked this week after learning they have no chance of working with J.Lo. The latter, it can only disqualify you from a working position if you learn that your horoscope sign is Virgin. Anyway, are we likely to lose a job just from the horoscope sign?
Using someone's zodiac sign to make decisions seems very tense and at the end of the day it's wrong.
A 2020 study found that participants of the Experiment done in China ,(including a group made up of human resources professionals), were less willing to hire candidates on resumes whose cVs indicated they belonged to the Virgin sign. This is due to traits perceived as unpleasant to them.
Even, in China a good part of people deliberately avoid virgins (those born between 23 August and 22 September), as partners, as employees, friends, etc. only because they are perceived (unjustly) as critics, trustworthy, obsessed with cleanliness, etc.
When the study team conducted a comparative study on astrological stereotypes with U.S. participants, they found that, in general, Americans agreed less than their Chinese counterparts that recognizing one's astrological mark should affect the new workplace.
At the end of the experiment, it resulted in crabs being the most negatively viewed by most people. However, horoscope signs are interesting subjects to discuss and entertain in free time, but the scarcity cannot represent you 100% and much less lose your job from it.
Zodiac signs predict neither performance at work nor our effectiveness there, but although people know this many career professionals consult with astrologers before hiring someone or before taking important steps in their work.
