
The famous singer Gjesti was arrested this Wednesday in Pristina, on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons.
According to media reports in Kosovo, the rapper was detained by police and then escorted to the police station for questioning in connection with the case. After the interview, authorities decided to send him to detention for 48 hours.
The police announced that the arrest took place around 3:00 PM, on "Mehmet Isahi" Street in Pristina.
"Today, at around 3:00 PM, on Mehmet Isahi Street in Pristina, the Police arrested a person suspected of illegal possession of weapons. The suspect was interviewed and, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, was taken into custody for 48 hours," the police statement to the media said.
The case is now expected to be handled by the justice system, while it is not yet known whether other charges will be filed against the singer.
On the other hand, there is still no reaction from the singer himself.
