Donald Trump has been allowed back on Twitter these days after Elon Musk took over the company, but he still decided not to post anything.
Of course, the first reason that comes to everyone's mind as to why this could happen is the stubbornness that characterizes the former president.
However, this is another case.
Trump now has his own social media network called Truth Social. The 76-year-old has serious financial stakes in this network.
Truth Social is a property of Trump Media & Technology Group, which is in agreement with Digital World Acquisition Corporation, which was created to take Trump's media company public.
If he then devalued the network by turning to Twitter and using it as his primary medium, shareholders could sue him, according to one expert.
That doesn't mean he can't return to Twitter, though. In general, Trump is required to post on Truth Social and cannot make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours.
However, he can have a "personal account" that allows him to post "about political messaging, political fundraising, etc."
The question we have is "Why have we never heard of Truth Social?".
