There seems to be an increase in people being skeptical of God's existence, especially the millennials (1984-2002) compared to the X generation (1965-1983), the baby boomers (1946-1964) and the builders ”(1927-1945).
The study focuses only on Americans and was conducted by The American Worldview Inventory 2021, a study on the life philosophy of Christian Americans, however it can serve as a way to look at the approach people have to God around the world.
Only 26% of Generation X and 16% of "millennials" believe that when they die, they will go to Heaven just because they have confessed their sins and accepted Jesus as their Savior.
The study also found that in general, young Americans are significantly more likely than the previous two generations to embrace horoscopes as a guide and Karma as a life principle as well as to accept evolution for creation.
For spiritual matters, Americans younger than 55 are more likely to disbelieve the Bible and believe that God is not involved in people's lives.
