Fatigue and lack of motivation top the list of reasons why people don't improve their diet and do more physical activity.
Many of you have probably asked yourself: why don't I exercise more, eat better food and generally lead a healthier lifestyle?
If you want to, but just can't change the lifestyle you already have, it turns out the answer to that reason is – you feel too tired.
A survey has revealed that fatigue is the reason why 35% of people do not make changes to their diet and physical activity levels. The results, from a YouGov survey, show the obstacles faced by many people who find it difficult to "embrace" healthy lifestyle habits.
38% said they have a "lack of motivation". Other common reasons included the cost of food (30%), lack of time (26%) and work/life balance (25%). Others cited the cost of joining a gym, lack of confidence (16%) and "not knowing where to start" (12%).
