Actress Amber Heard has insisted that her scenes in the upcoming movie "Aquaman" were drastically cut after her ex-husband Johnny Depp launched a defamation lawsuit, however not everyone is of this opinion.
The head of DC Films, Walter Hamada, testified on Tuesday that cutting Amber Heard's scenes was not influenced at all by Johnny Depp's claims. Hamada - who has been president of DC Films since 2018 - claimed it was always thought Heard would have a smaller role.
He stressed that the producers were concerned about the lack of chemistry between Heard and Aquaman star Jason Momoa. They even thought of replacing the actress in the sequel.
"I think [post-production] was able to make the relationship work in the first film. "But there was a concern because it took a lot of work to do and it would be better to find someone with natural chemistry with Jason Momoa and move forward that way," said Hamada.
