During the last online conference, Prime Minister Rama spoke about the situation recently created by Covid-19 in our country. The high increase in numbers and non-compliance with restrictive rules, according to him, can lead us to even more drastic measures.
Among other things, he said that there are some signals that indicate that new variants of the coronavirus may have entered Albania.
"Time for maximum civic responsibility in this phase of increasing the number of infections. We have reasonable signals that new variants of Covid-19 may have entered the country.
We have an increase in infections in young age groups as well. We must do everything right not to be forced to return to strong restrictive measures. What is being considered everywhere as another wave of infections and which was observed with numbers that increased dramatically is now being reflected here as well.
The measures in force are measures that, in the view of the experts of the Technical Committee, work, but in order to function properly, they must be implemented. "There has been a violation of the rules recently, it is irresponsible that politicians also break the rules in rallies."
Among other things, the head of state warned businesses to implement the regulation according to the protocol, adding that if there is no reflection, the fines will be reviewed and increased.
