Beyond all the data, opinions and hypotheses heard so far, the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron is lighter compared to the Delta variant.
At least, this is how the director of the National Emergency, Skënder Brataj, answered, regarding the danger of the Omicron variant during an interview for Abc News.
"We are in a pandemic, regardless of the variant, we have infected, hospitalized and lost lives," he replied, adding that this type of virus causes easier disease than Delta, which is currently the most dominant variant.
Despite the fact that the decrease in temperatures, seasonal viruses and indoor environments affect the high number of infections, Brataj says that there will be no more waves like the previous ones, considering that we are dealing with a vaccinated population.
Finally, members of the Technical Committee of Experts advised pregnant women to be vaccinated to protect themselves from existing and new variants. Brataj stressed that from the vaccine, the baby gets nothing but antibodies against the disease.
