Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are calmly making their way to the altar.
During a new episode of the podcast " Therapuss With Jake Shane ," released on Thursday, July 10, the 37-year-old music producer revealed that he and his fiancée, Selena Gomez, have not yet started wedding preparations.
"Not yet, so we need to calm down a bit. We've both been very busy with work," Blanco said when asked if they have started organizing the ceremony.
"We got engaged and then we started filming our album videos, then the holidays came, then we started the promotional campaign, we've had so much work."
He added:
"Then she went to shoot the series "Only Murders in the Building", we met, spent a week together, and right after that it was time for promotions. I started writing a new book, she only came back for a day. Then, my birthday came. So, a lot of commitments."
Blanco admitted that they have both been so involved in different projects that they haven't even had time to sit down and talk about the wedding, but stressed that they are very excited.
“I think this summer we'll sit down and say, 'Okay, what are we doing?'” he added.
Regarding the wedding style, Blanco said:
"I believe it will be something simple, pleasant."
Earlier during the podcast, Blanco expressed that he felt the need for a long break after an intense period of work.
"Honestly, I want to take some time for myself. I've been working so hard and haven't had time to rest. I just want to lie in bed, forget what day it is and watch a movie," he said.
But he added that with Selena, this becomes even more beautiful:
"I don't usually like to stay in bed all day, but with Selena I can do it without a problem. She makes me want to hug, eat good things, have food around and spend perfect moments together."
His comments come just moments after confirming that Ed Sheeran will be invited to their wedding.
“I told Ed, ‘I’m having a wedding and you’re definitely going to come.’ We haven’t set a date yet, but he’s going to be there,” Blanco said in an interview with Australian television’s Today last month.
