Shelley Duvall, the actress with big eyes and a fantastic acting talent, has passed away at the age of 75. The news was confirmed by her partner, Dan Gilroy, and the cause of death is believed to be complications from diabetes.
"My dear, sweet and wonderful partner and friend left us last night. She has suffered a lot recently, but now she is free. Fly high, beautiful Shelley,” Gilroy said.
Duvall is known for several roles, starting with "Brewster McCloud"; "McCabe & Mr. Miller”; "Thieves Like Us"; "Nashville"; "3 Women"; "Annie Hall" and of course, one of the most famous roles, that of "The Shining", which is probably the most challenging film in her career.
Shelley Alexis Duvall was born on July 7, 1949 and is known for her collaborations with Robert Altman. She has been nominated for several awards, starting with the British Academy and Primetime Emmy. Shelley was born in Texas and her talent was discovered by director Altman, who was surprised by her talent.
