Claudette said the singer has "lost control of her muscles" as the condition worsened over time.
Stiff person syndrome is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that typically causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms that may worsen over time.
"What breaks my heart is that she has always been disciplined," she told the Daily Mail. "She has always worked hard. Our mother always told him: 'You will do well.'
