At a virtual conference in Copenhagen, a World Health Organization (WHO) medical expert said the WHO was not recommending that states issue "immunity passports" to those cured of Covid-19, but was considering use of electronic vaccination certificates.
"We are looking closely at the use of technology in responding to Covid-19 and can work with member countries towards an electronic vaccination certificate," he said (via Reuters).
In early October, the WHO announced that in cooperation with Estonia, it had agreed to develop an international vaccination certificate, an electronic yellow card, part of the COVAX program, created to accelerate and develop equal access to anti-Covid vaccines .
At the end of April, invited to "Opinion", the Minister of Tourism, Blendi Klosi, mentioned this issue, saying that "more than the name and surname will be verified what analysis [someone] has done and from which country he comes" .
