Rita Ora has spoken about her experience with anxiety and panic attacks on the "Brave New World" podcast. She revealed that she has a lot of anxiety and thinks that everyone in this industry suffers from anxiety.
"I have a lot of anxiety. I think everyone in this industry suffers from anxiety, to be honest. It's really a good thing that it can be a topic of conversation," she said, while adding that at first, she had no knowledge of anxiety attacks.
"I learned how to identify them when they happen", said Rita and said that the acupuncture technique has helped her cope better. "I just breathe and lay there for 20 minutes," she confessed.
The singer also said that she followed other practices, such as Chinese cures, saunas and cold showers. "I try to incorporate different methods, I'm not a person who does just one thing," she admitted. Previously, Rita said in an interview with Cosmopolitan that she goes to the therapist once a week.
As for this method, acupuncture aims to balance the nervous system. "Acupuncture helps reduce anxiety by helping to regulate the nervous system to restore balance," says Ashley Flores, acupuncture professional. "Acupuncture treatment helps to return the body to a relaxed state where the nervous system is balanced."
This Chinese method aims to unblock blocked energy and restore balance. "Sometimes the energy is blocked, missing or out of balance. This leads the body into a spiral and causes a state of anxiety", says Elizabeth Trattner, certified doctor of this Chinese technique, who works in Miami.
Although there is not much in-depth research on the benefits of acupuncture for anxiety, the research that has been done shows that there may be some improvement. However, it is important to attend sessions with therapists, or take necessary treatments, as well as incorporate meditation, healthy eating and exercise into your daily routine, in order to reduce the impact of anxiety.
