Rezart Veleshnja, the famous comedian, was recently invited to the show "Jo Veç Kullera" on Andale Media . Known for his outspoken statements, Veleshnja once again gave headlines, jokes and new stories.
Speaking about her long career on stage and the place of the younger generations in humor, the Veleshnja expressed herself with humor, but also with irony:
"There comes a moment when the door opens. You mean, are there any of these people who are 60 years old and still working? They have nothing to do, because they have loans."
He did not spare any comments about Big Brother VIP Kosovo, where he was a part for a short time:
"Here, all Kosovars win first prizes. Have you ever seen Alban Skënderaj or Elvana Gjata win anything from Kosovo? Even on Big Brother VIP Kosovo, they kicked me out, and all of us who were from Albania."
Regarding the return to the show that made him famous, "Orange", he expressed himself with reservation:
"For a season maybe, but when you're 60, you spread your wings."
Asked if he thinks "Portokallia" is what it used to be, Rezarti replied:
"Absolutely... [no]. It has its ups and downs, and I'm sorry it's not at that level, while the costume and makeup work is very good. They're lagging behind on the script, it's very weak."
Regarding the names that the "columns" of Portokallije bear today, Veleshnja mentioned:
"For me, Portokallia has 3 columns now: Gaz Paja, Irgen Çela and Romir Zalla."
Recalling moments from behind the scenes, the Veleshnja also told a spicy story:
"I caught a couple having sex. That job was permanent. I won't tell their names because it ruined their job, because they were separated from their families."
About the television clash with Kleoniki Delijorgji, where she called him a misogynist, he confessed:
"Kleoniki, before we entered [the studio], was crying because she wanted a sandwich and water and I took care of her, she said 'thank you, you just took care of her'. When we entered the studio, she completely changed and I took a cross and said to her: 'get out, you evil spirit'. You know she was really possessed."
He also indicated that he had support from the director of Top Channel, Vjollca Hoxha:
"Vjollca Hoxha supported me. She has always been in favor. I have always declared my salary, it was somewhere around 5 million lek."
The Veleshnja also focused on personal projects and criticized some new forms of humor and training, focusing on Ermal Mamaqi:
"I'm making a movie, not with a cell phone, I'm making a good comedy movie. Everyone sees life as they want. He's smart, because you ate it, I sold it, and I got the money. I have nothing against him. He's smart to me, he's not stupid. We're the ones who go and watch him are stupid. As long as he puts the money in his pocket, as long as he goes to train with Ermal Mamaqi, you're stupid. It's idiotic."
Among the actors he has most appreciated over the years, he mentioned:
"Erand Sojli, Ervin Bejleri, Bes Kallaku, Agron Llakaj and Elvis Pupa."
He also gave an interesting statement about Pupa:
"For the first time, an Australian introduced an Albanian. So that Vis who is there, all this is because of some mafia. And poor Vis is wanted, because the police won't know about it."
For moderator and actor Salsano Rrapi, Rezarti was not gentle:
"Salsano Rrapi is overrated by social assets. They stay all the time, they change the scenery, they don't change 3 people."
Finally, a comment on the direction of Big Brother:
"I have all the Xhan, but Arbana leads better. But couples lead better. Arbana Osmani and Ledion Liço would make a very good combination."
Regarding the invitations from television, which he once considered his second home, he expressed himself bluntly:
"No one at Top Channel calls you, you go to auditions yourself."
