It has happened to all of you at least once that you feel exhausted, and yet you can not sleep. One of the many factors influencing this problem is also what you ate (and how much) before lying down. If your food is not digested before you go to bed, your body spends the time it needs to rest on digestion. Fortunately, nutritionists suggest a "quick meal" that you usually have all at home: 1 banana.
Tracy Lockwood, nutritionist, says in one of the "You vs Food" series from Well & Good that a very good idea of ??something quick to eat before bed (snack) could be a banana with peanut butter.

She advises not to consume foods with refined sugar, carbohydrates before bed because they can contribute to poor sleep. However, the brain sometimes definitely wants to consume something, so the best solutions, remain those above. A banana with peanut butter, or a simple banana is a light meal before bed and chances are it will help you sleep better.
Not only are these ingredients a very tasty combination, but they also help each other shine. Bananas are high in potassium and magnesium, which can help muscles relax. Peanut butter contains tryptophan, an amino acid that is converted to serotonin in the brain and is a precursor to melatonin. The combination of both can make tryptophan more available to your brain and increase your ability to sleep.
