Have you ever gone to a gathering with your high school friends and noticed that some people look much younger, while others seem to "show" more years? Even though everyone is the same age, the reality is that our bodies don't age the same way for everyone.
Science explains this through the concept of Biological age and Chronological age . While chronological age is simply the number of years we have lived, biological age shows the real state of our body, how "old" the functioning organism is.

A study of nearly 1,000 people has shown that these two ages don't always match. Researchers analyzed 18 different health indicators, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, organ function, dental health and metabolism. The results showed that while for most people these two ages are close, for some the difference is noticeable, making them look and feel older or younger than they actually are.
Those who were biologically larger also performed worse in areas such as coordination, balance and mental clarity. In some cases, even simple physical activities, such as climbing stairs, became more difficult for them.

The researchers' goal is to understand why some people age faster than others and what factors influence this process. If these reasons are identified, the way could be opened for new ways to slow down aging and maintain vitality, not only in appearance but also in health.
In the end, the message is clear, what really matters is how our body feels and functions.
