Ginger Rogers enters Fred Astaire's room. Embraced by the door, for a moment are out of our sight. When re-emerged, Astaire has a lipstick on her face.
Rear Window (1954)
Grace Kelly in the motion slice approaches James Stewart. Her face sounds the whole screen and for a while, she does not kiss Stewart any more, but kisses us, the public. Scenes from this work have been described as "apotheosis of cinematic art, so close to being sacred."
Wings (1927)
"Wings" is the first film to win the Oscars. The first kiss between two men in the film happens right here. Come to "Kiss Me, Hardy," it's about a dead soldier consoling death.
The Godfather Part II (1974)
In "The Godfather Part II," after Michael understands his brother's unfaithfulness, he kisses him forcibly: "I know you were Fredo. You broke my heart, "he says.
Cinema Paradiso (1988)
Once director Salvatore returns to his native village, he takes over a movie roll. In it there is a compilation of kisses on the screen, forbidden by the priest parish. The clips include excerpts from Visconti's "Ossessione" and Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life". Seeing the compilation, Salvatore cries, amazed by the ability of the film to articulate the power of dreams.
