For the first time, the Democratic League of Kosovo chose Vjosa Osmanin as the prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming October elections, which is also the first woman to run for such a post. Although women's participation in the politics of the Republic of Kosovo has changed (remember Atifete Jahjaga as president), numerous studies have indicated that women's participation in decision-making in Kosovo is not very high. That is why the election of Vjosa Osman seems like a step forward.

Osman is not an unfamiliar name in the political field; on the contrary, he has been involved since his teens as a LDK activist. After finishing her studies at the Law Faculty of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, then declared the best student, continued her Master's degree at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, where she was awarded the "Sheth International Achievement Award", an award for the contribution of young people around the world.

In addition to the profession of lecturer, for three terms, Osmani is an LDK MP, with the last two being the most voted MP in Kosovo.
