Olivia Culpo recently unveiled a personal health battle. Through several posts on Instagram (via Page Six), Miss Universe 2012 showed about coping with endometriosis, a painful disorder that consists in the growth of tissue outside the uterus.
"I have never spoken publicly about this, but I have endometriosis, which is also known as painful periods. It's not funny. It's very painful. "There is a possibility of surgery, but I do not want to do it, [meanwhile] I use a lot of warm compresses, drink a lot of water and a lot of Midol [medicine]."
Olivia stressed that all girls should "do research for their health and take proper care."
"If you have painful periods and are not diagnosed with endometriosis, be informed, because even if you do not have it, you may have other problems."
