The World Health Organization held a daily press release a few minutes ago. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO's director general, said more than 118,000 cases were identified in 114 countries and that 4291 people were killed. The coronavirus has spread enough to be called a pandemic.
The general manager said: ?The pandemic is not used with disdain. As a matter of fact, if misused, it can cause fear, the mistaken admission that we have no more to fight for, and brings unnecessary suffering and death.
"By describing the situation as pandemic, the WHO does not change the risk assessment for this coronavirus. It does not change the work plan and does not change the measures taken by the states. "
