For the Christian Dior Spring 2022 collection, designer Maria Grazia Chiuri focused on the black, white and gray palette. Chiuri adores handicrafts, human touch in every Dior collection.
"I would like to be more together and support each other and value the work. Maybe, I'm a little old-fashioned, but I'm more interested in the real thing. "I prefer to spend time with real people," she told Vogue.
The collection is an investment in the "connection between people", where high fashion clothing was made by hand by experts working together. "Handicrafts that finish the clothes are not appreciated. "Are you saying that embroidery is something only decorative and not part of the creation process," she said.
For some time now, Dior's designer has been inspired by Greek goddesses: sheer fabrics, delicate cuts, flat sandals, corsets and crocheted skirts.
