In an interview on "The Dalina Show" with Dalina Buzin for Andale Media, Elvana Gjata appeared more open than usual, talking about her career, personal life and the choices that have shaped her over the years.
Will he participate in the Song Festival again?
Elvana did not give a definitive answer about returning to the festival, leaving everything open:
"From both festivals I have taken 2 very good suitcases with lessons that I will use for the third time, which I don't know when it will be. I don't know how life will come. I can't say I don't want to participate, nor will I participate. I honestly don't know, I will let things come naturally."
The biggest sacrifice he has to make for his job
After her success and numerous commitments, Elvana accepted and touched upon a more sensitive aspect of her life: the distance from her loved ones.
"One of the most expensive bills I pay and one of the biggest sacrifices I make in the work I do is not being as present as I would like to be in the lives of my most precious people, and I suffer from this a lot."
"I would like to spend more time with my family and my dear friends, but the work I do - I certainly love the work I do and live by it - but it requires a lot of energy and time and takes away time from your most precious people and this hurts me a lot. I would really like to be with them in some moments that I haven't been."
How do you cope with difficult moments?
Elvana revealed that she has chosen not to seek professional help and to face the dark periods on her own, as nothing compares to the strength she has found within herself:
"I have chosen to go through all the most difficult moments of my life on my own and I have never chosen to seek professional help. Absolutely, if someone chooses to seek it, that is their way and I am very okay with that, but my way has been to go through the darkest, heaviest, most difficult moments on my own, without alcohol, without medication, nothing that has to do with the strength that I have found within myself."
Music as her way of reacting
For Elvana, music is the purest form of expression and reaction to everything she feels. She also revealed that she has always reacted between songs to periods of noise:
"That's why I've never liked interviews because I've always chosen to give the strongest messages through music. It's an instinct, turned into a strategy because when you know yourself well, you know when to react, and I'm used to using all this pain and strong emotions as fuel for my art."
"I've realized that sometimes I'm even more creative when I'm provoked, I create even better."
Her success in the eyes of society
She also touched on the prejudices that exist towards her success, stating that people understand, but fail to accept, that Elvana enjoys the success she enjoys.
"I think it's understandable, it's just not easily accepted in our society for a woman to be successful, to be her own boss, and to have been able to generate a very good income with her profession and work."
For love
Elvana shared the lessons she has learned from love, saying that she sees it as an element that grows you, not weakens you.
"I think when it's healthy, it inspires you and makes you a better person and makes you a more creative person. Love is not about pretty words, it's about actions."
"For me, it's a great blessing to have someone who truly loves you for all the good and bad things you have. I think it's very important in a real relationship to have someone by your side who doesn't tell you that you're not asking for much, but does everything for you, who allows you to communicate freely, who gives you strength, who gives you confidence, who doesn't give up on difficult days."
Her secret to being so fit
Elvana revealed that she is obsessed with good nutrition and that she is vegan most of the time:
"I'm vegan most of the time. I've always believed in the power of nutrition, which is really the secret to good skin, good body energy."
I confirmed it with my father, who, due to an illness he had, the doctor said that 70% is food and 30% is medicine, and together with my father, we managed to cure the illness through food.
"I dream of having my own farm, it could be one of the greatest luxuries to have a farm with food produced right there on my land, to feed and heal my parents and the children I will have."
Desire for children
In the end, a wish that Elvana revealed without hesitation:
"I have always wanted to have children because I love children so much. It is true that this thought has been more frequent in my mind recently.
"Of course I would have liked to have had a child even earlier and it is a dream that I too would be blessed to have a child in my life. I would really like to have a child like me for my parents, to take care of them, to have a little Elvana who takes care of me."
