Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their third child, and this time it's a girl, news that fans and the couple themselves had been waiting for for a long time. The little one is named Rocki Irish Mayers and was born on September 13. The name is an obvious choice, a sweet homage to her father, A$AP Rocky, while also continuing the tradition of family names that start with the letter "R."

Riri herself confirmed the news with a sweet post on Instagram, where she appears holding the newborn in her arms, wearing a pink suit.

Even, in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, when asked the question: "Is this the girl you've been waiting for?", Rocky replied with a smile: "Yes, she is."

In an interview with Elle, the rapper confessed that he had always wanted to be a dad:

"I hope it's a girl. We're praying for a girl. The first time we wanted to know the gender, the second time we didn't. This time we just wanted to find out when the time came. And I feel like it's going to be a girl. This pregnancy is very different from the first two."
