Hailee Steinfeld is officially a mother! The 29-year-old “Sinners” actress has welcomed her first child, a girl, with her husband, Josh Allen, sharing the happy news in a post on the online platform Substack.
"Our baby girl is here!!" Steinfeld wrote. "We feel incredibly grateful and blessed and are enjoying the moment. Thank you so much for your love and well wishes."
Last December, Steinfeld and Allen announced they were expecting their first child together. The actress shared a compilation of her 29 favorite moments from the past year on her Substack profile in honor of her 29th birthday.
At the bottom of her list, Steinfeld included a video announcing her pregnancy. In the clip, she was seen posing with her husband, who kissed her growing belly.
The couple later shared the video in a joint Instagram post. In the comments, Allen wrote: "I love you."
At a press conference in January, Allen revealed that he was excited to become a father and was looking forward to this new chapter in his life with Steinfeld.
"This is the most important thing I'll ever be in my life, being a father. And I know I love being a football player and I love being a player for the Buffalo Bills. But I can't wait to see myself in the role of a father."
Steinfeld has also shared her thoughts on motherhood. In a blog post titled "Keeping Ducks in a Row," she revealed how her mindset has changed as she prepares to welcome a child into the world.
"I experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We are preparing to meet someone we love so much right now," she wrote. "I've been racking my brains to find the words to describe this feeling and I still haven't. Maybe that's how it always is. For now, I'm blessed to be getting used to this feeling."
Steinfeld and Allen, who began their relationship in 2023, married in Santa Barbara, California, on May 31, 2025.
