Britney Spears has sold her music catalog. According to reports from Page Six, the singer has signed a deal worth a significant amount, giving up her rights to the songs in this catalog.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Britney Spears sold her catalog to the private company "Primary Wave", based in New York, on December 30. A source told TMZ that this "historic deal" could be worth the same amount as the amount Justin Bieber received when he sold his catalog in 2022. It is about $ 200 million.
This sale included Britney Spears' biggest hits, including songs from her 1999 album, "...Baby One More Time," her "In The Zone," which included the 2003 single "Toxic," as well as many other songs released in the late '90s and early 2000s, such as "(You Drive Me) Crazy," "...Baby One More Time," "Oops!... I Did It Again," "Everytime," "Piece of Me," "Hold It Against Me" and "Gimme More."

Although there is still no official reaction from the singer's representatives, sources have indicated that Britney Spears is happy and is celebrating with her two sons, Jayden and Sean.
This isn't the first time that famous singers have decided to sell their music catalog. Justin Bieber, Shakira, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan and others have also given up the rights to their songs in exchange for large sums of money.
Even though Britney Spears seems to have taken a break from music, she is helping her son, Jayden, with his music career.

"Britney is helping him get in touch with some producers he's worked with before. She wants him to use her old connections so he can be protected and properly guided."
