In a video on the podcast "Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson," Chris Noth revealed that the reason he and Sarah Jessica Parker are no longer friends is because of her and other "Sex and the City" cast members' public statement regarding the sexual assault allegations the actor was facing in 2021.

Although the full interview airs on January 26, during a short clip the actor expressed his disappointment and surprise that followed their statement.
"The statement they issued, which was essentially nothing more than image-preserving, I don't know, was sad, disappointing and surprising."
Chris Noth said he understood, after all, this is the world of Hollywood, but again, the years do not justify her actions.
"I understand, this is more Hollywood than Hollywood itself. But, before you make a statement like that, you know me, you've known me all these years, call me so I can tell you the truth about this matter. That didn't happen and it was unfortunate."

He further stated that these situations help you understand who your true friends are, but again said that if he had been in her place, he would not have acted the same way. The entire situation created was considered painful by him and greatly affected the relationship between them.
The actor faced sexual assault allegations in 2021. He denied each of them, but admitted to cheating on his wife, Tara Wilson.

Immediately after the accusations, the main actresses of the series "Sex and the City" came out in their support through a public statement.
Since then, there has been much talk about a breakdown in relations between the actor and the rest of the cast.
